Osteopathy practices the path that leads to Health and Well-being, we go in the opposite direction of the path that leads to disease and ill-being.

E mihi atu au ki oku Tupuna toto me oku tupuna wairua hoki (A deep gratitude to my blood ancestors and spiritual ancestors). I am here because of you and continue joyfully for you.
My Journey into Osteopathy began in 2012 and I completed my Masters in Osteopathic Medicine in 2016. Since graduating I have continued to develop my knowledge and experience of applying Osteopathic medicine to the stressors and strains of the body. I have completed many post-graduate courses to strengthen my practice in anatomy and physiology to better work with many conditions from pregnancy and babies, to children, adults and our elders. I will never stop learning, and my practice continues to change and evolve – wonderful!
The essence of Osteopathy is “Te Hau Toki” (The biological, chemical and spiritual balance). For me, there is a sense that the practice of Osteopathy has a reverence for life and is here to assist us to live life well.
Osteopathy is a remedy to the suffering and ill-health of our times and it is very interesting for me to see the energy of self-healing unravel, become apparent within the tissues of the body, when the tissues or the anatomy and physiology are brought to a balance. There is a sense that ‘all is well’ and it is like the gates of the dam burst open to bring the fluids of health to all parts of the body.
For me pain is a truth of life, but healing is inevitable. We all have a right to recover from suffering and ill-health of the body and mind and Osteopathy transforms the suffering and ill-health into happiness and health.
Osteopathy is a part of who I am, and I am very happy to continue this practice of Health to live life happily and with purpose. I think having a strong volition to help to heal the body and mind comes from a deep awareness of suffering in and around us, and it naturally gives rise to the motivation and desire of “wanting to do something about it” in order to transform our pain and ill-health into happiness, health, peace and solidity in our lives.
My approach to easing the strains and afflictions of the body is to put people as the key focus of my treatment and practice.
When I am not in clinic, my daily life being with whanau, cultivating a vege garden, camping and practicing mindfulness - all nourish my body and mind. And practicing Osteopathy has significantly enhanced these areas in my life, while I have no doubt that it will continue to into generations to come.
